Rafters

The rafters are placed on 36″ centers. Each rafter is mitered on the top end so it will lay flush on the ridge beam and cut even with the outside of the log wall on the bottom. Each rafter  is planed and leveled as it goes up. It’s important to remember the rafters are going to be exposed to the inside of the house. A little extra time here will really show later when they are stained and sealed. I’m so excited to see the finished product. The exposed rafters on the inside will give the home a rustic warm feel. I think it will be stunning.
