Ship Lap…Ship Lap…Ship Lap! The ceiling is looking amazing.

This is the second step in the roofing process. The ship lap shows on the inside of the house and will look amazing. We are one step closer to getting the house closed in, and just in time, winter is just around the corner.

Once all the ship lap is on the roof It’s very important to apply the tar paper. The ship lap needs to stay dry to prevent warping and twisting.

We have also installed the doors and windows. What a huge difference it makes to actually be able to close the house up. The electrical wiring was run around the doors for switches and outlets. This way the wires will never be seen and every one can wonder how the light switches work. (That will be our little secret. ^x^ ).
